- Our sunroom faces East - glorious sunrises change every morning! With the early morning sun we warm up quickly in the winter, and in the summer we don't get the
late afternoon scorching sun/heat like homes that face west. We can actually enjoy the summer evenings outside!
- We're protected from North and West winds because of the hill and tall trees behind us and across the road. When those strong winds are blowing,
we hardly notice except for the tree tops blowing. Very often we'll see white caps crashing into the dam on the main channel, but
our cove is typically still very calm.
- Feels like living in the country yet we're literally less than two minutes away from a gas station, auto repair shop, a sporting goods store,
a small diner, hair salon, barbershop, and, of course, a Dollar General.
- Very little boat traffic compared to the main water!
- Depending on the water level, depth off the dock is between 15'-20'. It's up to 45 feet deep within casting distance.
Nature's Bonus Features
- From the lakeside sunroom one can enjoy watching amazing sunrises, the fish just below us, ducks, geese, loons, osprey,
blue and green heron, turtles, and even the occasional river otters. But bald eagles steal the show...a pair of
nesting bald eagles make their home just around the bend and are frequently seen soaring overhead or lurking in a
tree across the cove. Simply.Amazing.Birds!
